Authentic Muay Thai,
in the heart of Thornbury
An authentic Muay Thai gym for adults, kids and teens who want more than just a workout — expert coaching and a real levels pathway.
More than a workout
Founded in 2009 and led by head coach Phill — a Muay Thai Victoria Board member with over 15 years’ coaching experience — ACSA is a Muay Thai gym in Thornbury, in Melbourne’s inner north. Our focus is authentic Muay Thai and long-term personal development: adults learning a real skill, and kids and teens building discipline, respect and confidence in a safe environment. We hold a 4.9-star rating from 185+ Google reviews.
We’re not here to sell one-off classes. We’re here to develop lifelong martial artists — people who keep training, keep improving, and become part of the club.

Do you run classes for kids and teens?
Yes. Alongside adult Muay Thai and beginner-friendly boxing, we run structured programs for kids and teens focused on discipline, respect and confidence in a safe environment. Coach Mikaela runs the kids classes and holds a current Working With Children Check.
Are the coaches qualified?
Yes. Head coach Phill founded ACSA and has over 15 years’ coaching experience — a Muay Thai Victoria Board member and an AIBA boxing coach. Every class is led by an experienced coach, at no extra cost — meet the team.
What disciplines does ACSA teach?
Authentic Muay Thai and beginner-friendly boxing, for adults, kids and teens. Everything is built around a structured levels pathway and long-term development — with no lock-in contracts and weekly memberships.
How long has ACSA been around?
ACSA was established in Thornbury, Melbourne in 2009 and is founder-led by head coach Phill. We've spent that time building a structured, long-term Muay Thai program — beginners to advanced — rather than a drop-in gym.
What makes ACSA different from other Muay Thai gyms in Melbourne?
ACSA is built for the long term, not drop-in fitness: a real levels and gradings pathway, every class coached in person, and a supportive, ego-free room. It's founder-led by head coach Phill, who brings a deep understanding of the sport from over 15 years in Muay Thai — he sits on the Muay Thai Victoria board and is part of the team running the 2026 National Championships in Melbourne.
How much does it cost to train at ACSA?
Most people start with the 2-week Beginner Course for $97, gloves included. After that, weekly memberships start from $25 a week with no lock-in contract.
